Dr. Steffen Hackbarth Dr. Hackbarth is senior scientist at the Humboldt University in Berlin. He has more than 20 years of experience in designing optical systems. Also he is expert on direct and time-resolved detection of singlet oxygen in biological systems as well as in evaluation of singlet oxygen kinetics in homogeneous and microheretogeneous membranous system such as in biological cells.
Dr. Schlothauer has developed one of the world’s leading experimental set-up for the direct and time-resolved detection of singlet oxygen at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. With that system it was possible for the first time to determine the kinetics of singlet oxygen in living cells with high accuracy. His doctoral thesis was about the use of 2-dimensional optical measurements in complex systems.
Tobias Bornhütter has optimized and augmented laboratory set-ups for direct spectrally resolved detection of singlet oxygen as well as for time-resolved photosensitizer phosphorescence. He is doing a Ph.D. on photosensitized generation of singlet oxygen in nano-systems. For several years now, he is certified software developer for LabView (CLAD).
